And here he is...

We are so happy to announce the arrival of Jacob Scott Melnick on Saturday, August 21 at 2:09 pm. He was 7.9 pounds and 21.5 inches. We are all doing well and are glad to be home. Jacob is such a sweet baby and Caroline is doing great in her new role as a big sister. Here are a few pictures of Jacob's first days of life, and we know we will have MANY more to share as we embark on this adventure as a family of 4!

We are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Jacob any day now- my due date is next Sunday, August 22. We have gotten everything ready around the house, and Caroline has LOVED playing with all of the baby things. She keeps saying to me, "Baby Jacob come out of mommy's belly!" Here she is trying out Jacob's crib; we think she approves! We look forward to sharing our news with everyone when he arrives!Pretending to take a nap in the crib!

Davis Farmland

We had a fun family day at Davis Farmland this past weekend. Caroline loved getting to see and feed so many different animals. It is so fun to watch her be so fearless and to enjoy so many new experiences; I really tried not to visibly cringe as she pet a snake!

HOT July

It has been HOT here this month, especially for pregnant mommies! But we are staying cool here with the help of Caroline's ladybug sprinkler!

4th of July

We spent a fun 4th of July weekend in New York with Caroline's grandparents. Her cousin Miriam came with us which made that much more special! We had so much fun playing and going to the beach club to swim.

More Birthdays

All of our birthdays are in the summer (even Watson's!), so we have had fun the past several weeks celebrating for mommy and daddy's birthdays. Now Caroline walks around singing Happy Birthday to someone all the time; she thinks it is always time for a birthday!

Caroline has definitely been enjoying the wonderful gifts she received for her birthday. Here she is playing with her new cash register while wearing her new apron! Oh the fun we are having! By the way, we have no idea where the crazy noise she makes comes from!
