Friends
We got together with some friends for a fun play date this weekend. We went to our friends Liz and Avery's house where Ellen and her mom Megan came over to play. Megan and Ellen were in our baby group from last summer (that seems so long ago!), and we haven't seen in about a year! Ellen is such a sweet and cute girl, and the 3 girls had a fun time playing together!

Pigtails
Caroline has never been one for having things in her hair. She takes clips out immediately, detests hats on her head (but loves to play with them!), and has only allowed rubber bands in her hair very few times. Today I decided to try again and this time try pigtails since her hair is getting really long. I think the experiment worked! She kept them in all morning without trying to take them out. Yea for pigtails!
Audrey Visit
We had a fun visit from our sweet friend Audrey this week! Caroline got to show off all of her new walking and talking and even took a moment away from her recent mama separation anxiety to take a picture with Audrey. We love our Audrey!
Labor Day Weekend
We all went to New York to visit Caroline's grandparents over the Labor Day weekend. We had a great time! The weather was nice, so we got to go swimming and hang out around the pool. Of course Caroline had to have her shades since it was so sunny! And a girl has to talk on her "cell" phone to stay caught up on the latest at home!
We had a fun lunch at the beach club before we went home. Caroline had a special treat of trying some chocolate ice cream. As you can see, she had a fabulous time and got chocolate all over making it even more fun!
Caroline got to show off her new walking skills for her grandparents, who were very impressed. She had lots of fingers to hold on to while she walked and explored the house over the weekend, such a lucky girl!

Elmo Love
Caroline has developed a big love for Elmo lately! She has a book with Elmo in it that she loves to read. Our girl is saying SO many new words lately, and Elmo is definitely a favorite as you can hear! It is such a joy to see her learning new words every day and to see the things that she is interested in. She is definitely developing her own little personality in so many fun ways, and it makes me realize that she is her own little person with many like, and dislikes, whether we like it or not! Since she has shown such a love for Elmo, I got her an Elmo stuffed toy that she loves to hug and kiss, she is such a sweet girl!
