Baby Steps

Caroline started taking her first little steps while Lindsey and Aiden were here! We are so proud of her, and she seems so proud of herself as she is standing up so much now and starting to become more mobile. Here is our big girl taking a few little steps!

Ecotarium

We also visited the Ecotarium with Lindsey and Aiden. Caroline and Aiden especially loved the big bear standing at the entrance! We had fun trying to make big bubbles, and Aiden entertained all of us when we wore Caroline's sunglasses!

Zoo Trip

We went to the Southwick Zoo while Lindsey and Aiden were visiting. We had such a great time looking at all of the animals! We got to get close up to some birds which kind of scared Caroline, but she loved seeing the baby giraffe and they both loved petting the goats.

Visit from Lindsey and Aiden

Lindsey and Aiden came to visit last week before they move back to Texas next month. As always, Caroline and Aiden had a great time playing together. We were so happy to see them and had so much fun!

Visit from Sara

Caroline's cousin, Sara, came to visit before she went back to school. They had a fun time playing together, and Caroline got to see her aunt, uncle, and cousin Miriam when they cane to pick up Sara. Caroline got to show all of them how well she is standing up now. It was so nice to see all of them; and they brought Caroline an adorable outfit from their fun trip to Spain!!

Botanic Garden

I am a little behind on my blog updates, but I wanted to share our visit to the Tower Hill Botanic Garden with our friend Tricia. We had a picnic outside and had a fun time looking at all of the beautiful plants and flowers which Caroline loved!

Standing

Here she is standing up on her own!

Standing!

As of today, Caroline can stand all by herself! While we were playing at the fountains with our friends Claire and Maggie, she pushed up on her feet and hands, squatted down, let go, and stood up! She was so proud of herself and continued the new milestone many times this evening so I could get some good footage of it! We are so proud of our Caroline!

Birthday Party #2

Last week we celebrated Riley's birthday with a fun party at his house. All of the kids LOVED Riley's Elmo chair that sings songs. Caroline got into the party mood by wearing a party hat the whole time, she usually hates wearing hats, I guess she will do anything for her friend Riley!

Caroline and Avery

We have been getting to see our friends Liz and Avery quite a bit this summer which is great! We love seeing our friends, and Avery and Caroline always have fun playing together!

Caroline and Maggie

We went to Boston to see our friends Claire and Maggie a couple of weeks ago, and again today! The girls played in the fountains and had a great time together playing with Maggie's toys. Here are a few cute pictures of the girls together.

More "Walking"

Here is some video of Caroline "walking" and having fun with Watson!

"Walking"

Caroline is LOVING her push toy these days! It goes a little too fast on the wood floor for her to walk behind it just yet, so she pushes it around "walking" on her knees, so funny! She gets so frustrated when she runs into things but is having such a fabulous time!

Lost Video...

When I finally downloaded the videos from the videocamera, I found some "lost" video from the night Caroline stayed with her cousin Miriam at the hotel in Stamford, CT while we were at the wedding. It was so fun to see what those girls were up to while we were gone! Miriam is such a sweet cousin, and Caroline loves spending time with her! Thanks Miriam!

Fortune Cookie

After our trip to the beach, we were all hungry so we went to have Chinese food for dinner. Mimi was nice enough to let Caroline have her fortune cookie (aka Caroline stole it!). After she smashed it inside the package, she ate some of the delicious cookie. I'm not sure what her fortune said (I hope she didn't eat that too), but I think it should say something like, "You have a VERY bright future ahead!"

First Beach Trip

While Caroline's Mimi was here, we went to the beach at Plum Island. Caroline absolutely loved splashing her feet in the water and crawling all around in the sand. We had such a great time on the first of many beach trips!

Visit with Mimi

Caroline's Mimi came to visit us after she attended a conference in New York. We had so much fun with her! We went to the aquarium where Caroline loves to look at the fish. We had a bit of a traumatic encounter with a lobster at Legal Seafood that got a little too close; poor Caroline got very scared when a waitress brought a lobster right up to her face for a photo op! She survived, but I'm not sure about the lobster! :(

Birthday Party #1

Three of our playgroup friends are turning 1 within 3 weeks of each other! We had the first party last week for sweet Ryan. We had so much and were so happy to help him celebrate his 1st birthday!
