Ken recently got a guitar and is learning to play, much to Jacob's excitement! He asks if it is Raffi's guitar and loves to play it. He also loves to copy Ken and get the chair and music stand out and put on a show with his own guitar. He tells me to sit in front of him, and he plays for me and bows after he is done with each song. He loves it when I clap for him; he smiles a big proud smile! Here are the guys in one of their first of many jam sessions to come I hope!

More New York
We got some exciting news while we were in Texas- Caroline's cousin Miriam and her boyfriend Marc got engaged on New Year's Day! While we are all so happy for them, Caroline's favorite part about the news is that she will be a flower girl in their wedding! We were missing Miriam so much and wanted to see her after her great news, so Caroline and I took a trip to New York to see her. We rode the train in New tork City, went to the Museum of Natural History, ate at a great deli, and saw Miriam's apartment. It was a fun girls weekend as Caroline called it!

New Year's Party
After we got back from Texas, we traveled to New York to celebrate the New Year with Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great time spending time in New York and enjoyed the annual New Year party with Grandpa's annual fire!
Jacob warming up by Grandpa's great fire
Caroline went ice skating for the first time at a local ice rink. She LOVED it and is still telling everyone about it! She did fall a few times but got right back up and could skate some by herself by the end! Brave girl!
The best part of ice skating- warming up with hot cocoa after a great skate!

Friends
My best friend Amy and her family recently moved back to Fort Worth from Midland. We were happy to be able to spend time with them this year and stay with them for a few days. Caroline loves Kate and learning her big girl ways!
We went to the Galleria in Dallas and enjoyed all of the beautiful holiday decorations.

Christmas Cookies
We all had fun making and decorating cookies, some of which went to Santa. The boys LOVED the flour and made sure to cover everything with it, including the mommies!
I'm pretty sure eating the cookies was Jacob's favorite part!!

Chanukah
We loved celebrating Chanukah this year with the kids bringing home so many songs and stories about Chanukah from school. They had a Chanukah party at their school, and it was fun to eat latkes and sing songs with their friends and teachers!
Art
Caroline is our artist and amazes us everyday with her drawings and coloring. She tells us she is going to do her "arting," and she sits down and goes to work! Here is one of her creations; she might already be the best at drawing in the family!
The Nutcracker
Caroline and I went to see The Nutcracker with her friend Amy and her mom. Caroline LOVED the show, and it was such a special memory to share with my girl.
Thanksgiving Fun
Our Thanksgiving was filled with family and fun! We spent Thanksgiving at Uncle Rick and Aunt Lynn's house and then had a big dinner at our house the next night. Uncle Andy came from Denver and stayed with us. So fun to be with family for the holidays!
