Big Man

Jacob is getting so big and more smiley everyday! He is getting stronger and pushing up on his belly really well too!
We got a new Bumbo seat- we had to get a BLUE one since Caroline's old one was PINK! He seems to like it, and Caroline thinks it is so funny to see him sitting up in a little chair!

Christmas Tree Festival

We went to a Christmas Tree celebration and contest in a town near us last weekend, and Caroline loved looking at (and touching!) all of the Christmas trees people had decorated.
Santa was there, and she and Jacob both got to see him. She loved talking to him and sitting on his lap this year; Jacob was ok with it too!

Christmas Tree

Caroline loved helping decorate the Christmas tree! Thankfully we have a lot of soft ornaments we can put on the botton as she loves to take them off, carry them around, and put them back on the tree daily!

Putting an ornament in the perfect spot.
Frustration for not being able to get the ornament on the tree!!!
I LOVE my Christmas tree!

Chanukah Party

Caroline's school had a Chanukah party where the kids got to help make latkes and eat them for a snack. The rabbi came to sing songs with the kids, and it was a fun time with all the kids and parents.

Eating latkes and applesauce. Yum!Listening to the rabbi

More Thanksgiving

We have a tradition of having Rick and Lynn and family to our house the night after Thanksgiving. It is a great time to get to be together and of course to have more food!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with Caroline and Jacob's grandparents here for several days and a great Thanksgiving dinner at Uncle Rick and Aunt Lynn's house. We are definitely blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and to have our Jacob here this year to complete our family!

Caroline and Jacob got matching pajamas from a friend, and Caroline LOVES it when they both wear them! She thinks it is so funny that Jacob has "snowman pajamas" just like her!

Happy Halloween

We had a fun Halloween with our Nemo fish and pumpkin! Caroline has been so excited for months to be Nemo and has been wearing and carrying her costume around everywhere! Finally the day came! Miriam came to go trick-or-treating with us like last year (a great tradition!) and surprised Caroline with a Dory costume! Ken got a Nemo hat so he could be Nemo's daddy, and they were off!
Caroline loved knocking on doors and saying "trick or treat" or sometimes "trick or Halloween!"Jacob was our cute little pumpkin!
He even got to go to a few houses for trick or treating with his big sister
Back at home and not quite ready to take off her costume, Nemo did some swimming with Dory!

Fall in New England

We have had a great fall, and Caroline has loved watching all of the leaves fall. We got her a rake so she could help this year; not sure how much "helping" she did but it was fun!Up to her middle in the leaf pilePlaying in the leaf pile!We made a jack-o-lantern for Halloween. Caroline did NOT want to touch the inside of the pumpkin but was ok using a spoon to help scoop. She was SO proud of the jack-o-lantern and loved watching the candle lit up inside; I love watching all of these fun fall rituals through the eyes of my girl!

Scarecrow Festival

We went to a Scarecrow Festival while Miriam was here a few weeks ago and had a good time. We looked at a lot of scarecrows, rode the train, and checked out all the exhibits.
