Don't Feed Me!
Caroline has been showing great interest in feeding herelf lately, so we gave her a spoon and bowl of applesauce and let her go to work! Not much ended up in her mouth (possibly more in her hair or on the floor), but she had a great time and is getting better every day. Our girl is getting so big and independent, I can't believe it! Video to follow soon!

Father's Day
We had a great time celebrating Ken's 2nd Father's Day! Caroline was so tiny last year on Father's Day, time has flown!
This year we went to PF Chang's to eat, and Caroline got a few lessons on using chopsticks from her daddy. Caroline, of course, had to help her daddy open his cards and presents, and then daddy and his girl sat back to watch a little TV together. We had a great day, and Caroline loves her daddy!

Baby in a Bag
After Caroline crawled into Ken's gym bag, what else is a dad to do but carry the girl around in the bag? Her crawling now finds her in all kinds of fun, new places!
Dinner with Miriam
While Betty, Ruth, and Caroline's grandparents were here, we went out to dinner with Caroline's Aunt Lynn, Uncle Rick, and cousins Josh and Miriam. Caroline had a great time playing with her cousin Miriam; Miriam let her play with her IPod, her rubber band (which we had to put in her hair!), and as a reward she got a hug from our sweet girl!

Aunts Betty and Ruth
Ken's sweet Aunt Betty and Ruth came to visit and meet Caroline along with Caroline's grandparents. They are both wonderful ladies, and Caroline had a fabulous time singing and playing with them. Betty sang songs in French to Caroline, and she loved the hand movements that went along with them. We were so glad to spend time with them.
Little Chef
Caroline loves to help us in the kitchen these days; she provides the cooking music as she bangs her bowls and spoons around!

Great Granddad
This past Friday we lost my granddad and Caroline's great granddad, Elwyn Fay Scott. I am so glad that he got to meet Caroline and spend time with her. We loved him so much, and we will miss him greatly.
Crawling
As of last Tuesday, Caroline is crawling! She took her time learning how to do it, but now she is making up for it! She is crawling everywhere and pulling up; her favorite new hobby is to pull all the books off the shelves, we have entered a new phase for sure!
Aquarium
Granddad took Caroline and Aiden to the New England Aquarium while he was here. We had a great time; Aiden LOVES looking at fish! Both of the kids loved this little penguin statue at the aquarium; Aiden liked to kiss the penguin right on the beak! We first made a stop at Legal Seafood restaurant where Caroline sampled her first clam chowder, I guess she is a New England girl!

99 Red Balloons
The day after the party, Aiden had a fabulous time playing with the balloons! They were all tied together, and he and Watson had so much fun running around the living room in the middle of them! He is so silly, and I love his sweet laugh!
Sweet Granddad
My dad also came to be part of the birthday celebrations; we had a great time seeing him and spending time with him! Caroline got some special birthday gifts from her granddad, and here is he doing the granddad duty of assembling toys! Since Caroline is not quite ready to push it around herself, Aiden tried it out to make sure it works, such a sweet cousin! She loves riding on her little car and moving all of the levers, thanks granddad!

Future Pianist
One of Caroline's favorite gifts was her very own piano from her Grandma Hyla and Grandpa Bob. She can be heard "practicing" (banging away on the keys!) several times a day. Here is the future pianist playing you a tune!
Lucky Girl
Caroline got so many fun and special gifts for her birthday, here are a few pictures of her (and Aiden :) opening them! They, of course, loved all of the paper and ribbons just as much as the toys!

Cupcake Fun!
Caroline had a lot of fun "eating" her birthday cupcake. At first she was not too sure what to do with it, but she warmed up quickly and by the end she was smushing it into her hair!
