Happy Chanukah

Caroline celebrated her first Chanukah! She is not quite ready for latkes this year, but she enjoyed watching the candles on the menorah!

Gaylord Ice

While we were staying at the Gaylor Hotel in Orlando, we went to the see the awesome ice show where everyting is made out of ice, including some fun ice slides. Here are a few pictures of me, Ken, and Lindsey having some fun together! We did not take the babies inside since it was only 9 degrees!

First Swim

Caroline had her first swim in Florida and best of all, it was outside! The weather was so nice and warm while we were there. Lindsey and Aiden went swimming together in the kids pool. We were so excited to see Caroline loving the water; she splashed and played for a long time and then crashed for about 2 hours! It wore a girl out who usually only takes 30 minute naps! Yea for swimming!

Christmas!

We spent Christmas day at Lindsey's apartment where she and her roommate, Sara, cooked a fabulous dinner for us! We had a great time opening presents and watching the babies tear into the paper! Aiden was all over the place and opening up everyone's presents! Caroline got some wonderful gifts including a baby doll from granddad and Miss Mel, Minnie Mouse from Aunt Lauren, and some kitchen inspired toys from us so she can help her dad cook; it was a very memorable first Christmas for Caroline.

Gaylord Palms

Lindsey works at the Gaylord Palms hotel in Orlando and arranged for all of us to stay there. It is a big, beautiful hotel and they have amazing Christmas decorations! We spent a lot of time just wandering around there; Caroline loved watching the fish and water fountains and we even visited the alligators and turtles in the hotel!

Fun with the Fam

We had such a great time when the rest of the family got to Florida. Caroline and Aiden's granddad, Miss Mel, and Aunt Lauren were so glad to see these babies together! It was so nice to be all together for Christmas!

Build a Bear

Caroline and Aiden made bears together while we were in Orlando as their Christmas gifts to each other! We picked matching bears; Aiden's is named Benny and Caroline's is named Bella. We had a fun time making the bears and helping to stuff them and wash them off. Caroline loves her new bear!

Cousins

We spent a week in Orlando with Lindsey and Aiden as well as my dad, Melody, and Lauren for Christmas. We got there a few days earlier than the rest of the family so we got to hang out with Lindsey and Aiden. Aiden has gotten so big, he turned a year old earlier this month, and he is crawling around and pulling up on everything! Caroline was fascinated by watching him, and he was so sweet to her and gave her lots of kisses! There will be lots of pictures and video to follow of our wonderful Christmas!

Christmas with Tricia

Our friend Tricia came over before Christmas, and she brought a special present for Caroline. She LOVED playing with the wrapping paper, and I am sure she will love the Elmo book that was inside just as much!

Caroline and Riley

Caroline and I go to a play group every week with several other babies and moms. Caroline is the only girl, and here is she is with her friend Riley. They were so cute playing on the floor together, and then they were holding hands! There might be a little romance starting!

Snow!

This was not our first snow (I think we had a dusting a couple of weeks ago that quickly melted), but this was the first time Caroline saw the snow! It is so exciting to show her new things, and she was so cute all bundled up!

Puppy Dog

Caroline and Watson are so cute together these days. Her face lights up whenever he comes into the room, and she likes to blow raspberries and scream at him! He likes to lick her fingers which makes her giggle; he is so sweet and gentle with her.

Ice Storm

We lost power and heat as a result of the ice storm last week, so we headed down to Caroline's grandparents' house where it was warm! We had a great time with them; Caroline had more piano sessions with her grandma which she loves. And look at this cute girl taking a bath in the sink; it is the perfect size for a baby Caroline! Thankfully our power came back late Friday night and we returned to a warm house! We hope everyone else made it through the ice storm and has their power back!

Santa!

Caroline had her first visit with Santa Claus! She was getting a little tired as we just had our holiday pictures made, so this picture is a lot better than the first few of her screaming! But while mom and dad were right there with Santa holding her, she seemed to like him and stared at his beard!

Christmas Tree

We put up our Christmas tree last week, and she loves looking at the lights and the ornaments. She helped put up her own ornament we got for her first Christmas; we are so excited to share this holiday season with her!

Hair

Caroline's hair is growing in so much lately. She has always had a long strand in the front, and a long tail in the back (baby mullet!), but now it is filling in all over. So, of course, a mom can't help but spike up a girl's hair into a mohawk! And she loves her bath so much she really doesn't mind too much!

Six Months Old

Caroline was 6 months old on Sunday! We can't believe how fast the time has gone! She has grown and learned so much; she is eating real food, trying to sit up (as you can see she still falls over!), and now she is getting her first tooth! We woke up on Sunday morning, and Caroline reached for Ken's finger to put in her mouth like she often does, and he felt something sharp! And sure enough, there is a little tooth sprouting up through the gums on the bottom! She is such a happy and sweet girl, and we are so thankful for the past 6 months with her!
